Rokko Island CM Competition (Kobe Bay Rotary Club 25th anniversary memorial project)
Kobe Bay Rotary Club will host a promotion video contest as its 25th anniversary memorial project.
The contest is aimed to promote the charms of the Rokko Island that will be of help to revitalize the island.

We are wanting for promotional videos filled with all kinds of the charms of the Rokko Island.

◆Entry period updated!
・Pre-registration is now open and will close on Friday, February 24.
・Submissions are now being accepted and will be closed on Friday, March 3.

・Pre-registrations will be accepted under the circumstances that your work is not completed yet at the moment, but will be submitted by the deadline.
・Download the pre-registration sheet from the link below. Fill it out and send it either by fax or by e-mail to the event organizer.
・The pre-registration grant will be given to the first 20 entrants who can be present at the Judging and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 18. (5,000yen gift cards will be given at the venue on the day.)

◆How to enter
・Download the entry sheet from the link below.
・Send your videos with the entry form either by mail (recommend to use a DVD-R) or by e-mail to the event organizer. E-mail address and mail address are given below.
・Please contact us, in case that we do not reply within 3 working days after your entry.

※Entrants must be present at the Judging and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 18. Substitutions or any one of the members (in case that the entrants are collectives) are accepted.

All entries will be judged at the Judging and Awards Ceremony held at the Orbis Hall on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Awards will be decided in the following two ways: judging by a panel of judges and voting by the attendance
In case that there are too many entries, the first round of judging will take place by a panel of judges and the event organizer prior to the Ceremony. In that case, all entrants will be notified of the results after the first round of judging concludes. The works that have passed the first round of judging will be judged in the Ceremony.

◆Judging Criteria
A panel of judges will judge all entries based on the following criteria.
・Is the video compelling and appealing enough to make people feel the Rokko Island worth visiting or worth living?
・How effectively does the video convey the charms of the Rokko Island in adherence to the time limit of 30 seconds?
・How well is the video produced in regards to branding slogans, editing and other production skills.

・The contest is open to residents in Japan, amateur, individual or collective, regardless of age, gender, or nationality.
・Entrants under 18 years of age require the permission of a parent or guardian. By entering the contest, entrants under 18 years of age indicate that they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian.

◆Submission rules and guidelines
・Entry is limited to original works that have not formerly been published or exhibited , and created solely to enter the Rokko Island CM Competition. The works that have formerly posted to YouTube or any SNS must not be accepted.
・Entry is limited to one work per person or collective.
・Videos must be no longer than 30 seconds. (Videos that are longer/shorter than 30 sec. will be penalized.)

・Formats and specifications
File format: any of m2ts, mp4, mov, mpg, avi
HD resolution: 1920x1080 or 1280x720 recommended; SD acceptable
Aspect ratio: 16:9 recommended; 4:3 acceptable
Sound: 2-channel stereo or monaural
・The copyright of all entries belongs to the organizer, regardless of whether it is a prize winning work or not.
・All entries will not be returned, even after it is withdrawn.
・Entrants shall bear all costs incurred by entering the contest.

・Entrants should receive the prior permission of the right holder for the use of his/her premises and works, and of the persons depicted in the entries. Do not trespass on private property, nor infringe on copyrights and/or personality rights.
・The organizer reserves the right to disallow works submitted that is aimed to promote a particular company or product.
・When the entries could identify a specific individual depicted therein, entrants should receive his/her prior permission.
・The organizer reserves the right to disallow entries that are offensive to the public order and morals for whatever reason.
・In case of any legal issue with the content of the entries, entrants are responsible for its resolution and bear any costs incurred thereby.
・Entrants indicate that they have agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions stated herein. Entrants should comply with the organizer’s judgment regarding issues not stated herein.
